Yesterday Me and 7 other school pupils made our way to Christchurch for the annual cantamaths competition. this year grey main competitors were... Year 8 team: Myself, Dylan, Franklin And Ayesha. Year 7 team: Addison, Honor, Jacob and Arielle. First thing in the morning we left school at around about 9:30. we started making our way out to kumara and on our way to arthurs pass. we stopped at the train station for a toilet stop and to get some fresh air. Then we hopped back in the van and started heading to christchurch. At Christchurch when we got there we went to riccarton mall. we were allowed to spend our own money. I bought some lollies and sherbert. and then we had to make our way to horncastle arena (this is where the competition was) there were also displays on some amazing experiments that some children presented. the year 7 team were first up and done really well they got a total score of 90 points ( 18 Questions ) this is the best a year 7 team has ever done from grey main. our team didn't do as well, we got 50 points ( not as good ) It was a really fun experience.
Then when we finished we got dinner at McDonalds shouted for us. Then we made our way back to the west coast, it was 10pm before we got home.
