Instead get a device from Samsung, Google, Xiaomi these are just some of the examples of the brands that make amazing devices that have the specs of the newest Apple devices but at an amazingly lower price.  

Phones 

Phones are something that 90% of people have and there are different phones for different lifestyles. But everyone says that apple has it all, camera and battery, LIERS. If you are wanting a large battery life then you definitely want to go with a Samsung S10 + with a battery size of 4100mAh battery smashing the newest Iphone 11 battery of 3000mAh. If you need an amazing camera then you definitely want to go with the Huawei P30 Pro with a super 40MP wide angle, 20MP ultra wide angle, 8MP telephoto lens cameras 32 MP Front camera absolutely destroying the new Iphone 11 camera which only has 12MP ultra wide angle, 12MP night mode and 8MP selfie camera.

Tablets

Many people use tablets for use at home, but also in your business. A tablet has a larger screen, which means you have more space for better battery and storage, But the apple storage and battery is still bad. An ipad pro only has 9000mAh battery when the microsoft surface book 2 15” has an amazing 12,000mAh battery lasting a LOT longer. If your wanting storage space to hold lots of photos or videos for your business you’ll want the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, with storage to 256GB plus room for an internal storage card expanding it an extra 1TB.  

Laptops

A laptop is useful for many things, lots of people use them for gaming if they move places from time to time. Some people use them to edit photos or videos. They are good for using wherever and whenever you want. They have a large battery, and have more space for storage. If you need a gaming laptop, then apple is the worst brand to go for… well it's the worst brand in general, but for gaming you would want the Dell 17" Alienware Area 51M, it has the intel core I7 plus the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2070 this mean it has incredible power and incredibil speed, it's got 16GB ram which means it can handle multiple games at once, with 1TB hard drive allows you to download as many games you want. If you are more of a photo editor and need a lot of storage and mobility. Then you need the The Dell XPS 13” it is slim lightweight but produces awesome power, it can hold 1TB SSD ( SSD means the storage card has the ability to be taken out of the laptop without damage ) and the room for a HDD card meaning it can hold up to 2TB storage, meaning you can hold many photos and videos. More than the latest and best macbook pro which only has 512GB.

PC’s

A PC is what most people have at offices, its when there is a Monitor / TV, is hooked to what is called a PC. they are a large box that usually sits under the desk. but now a days some of the PC’s are built into the monitor / TV, the best I-Mac you can get has 512GB of storage, 8GB ram and an Intel core i5, ok but if you need mass storage then you need the 23.8” HP Pavilion  AMD A9, packing 128GB SSD and 2TB HDD drive 16GB Ram, meaning you can download many things at once. if you are a gamer then you want the acer Orion 3000 Predidtor Intel i7. With 16GB Ram, 3.6GHZ Intel Core i7-9700 Octa Core Processor ( the best processor on the market ) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2060 6GB Graphics, 512GB SSD means you can download many games.

Wearable Audio

Audio is one of the things that nearly everyone has, whether it is over ear headphones or earbuds. Nowadays there are bluetooth, wired and earbuds. But if you think apple is better for everything then you are WRONG, WRONG WRONG WRONG. Apple only make, ONE SINGLE TYPE OF HEADPHONES. They only make airpods ( They Suck ) they only have 5hours of listening time, when PowerBeats Pro Wireless have 9 hours of battery and come with an ear hook for sports. If you want over ear headphones for more noise cancelling. Then you want a pair of Beats Pro Over-Ear Headphones they have up to 12 hours of listening time. Way better than apple. And also apple airpods are very uncomfortable, android is padded so max comfort.

Compatibility

Smart home products are the way of bringing the future, to now. With a google home you are able to hook up many devices. But this isn't the case with apple, if you try to hook up an Iphone to google home it wont connect, the reason im telling you this is because google home is so useful. You can hook it up to you TV for example, and if you ask alexa “ Turn Lounge TV on “ Alexa will do so. If you get a specific light bulb you can ask her to turn On / Off or dim she will do it. Hook her up to a specific coffee machine and ask her “ Make me a cappuccino “ or “ Make a caramel latte “ she will make it. But siri can't do that... Apple sucks.

In conclusion android has many better abilities that are awesomely useful. Apple isn't good at making phones, tablets, laptops, PC’s, and audio. Apple is the worst. Android is better. If you are looking for where I found all my information i found it all from noelleeming. Don't buy any more apple devices, they are a private company that don't share information without you having to pay money for it. Choose the best, Android!

Solving Balanced Equations

CantaMaths 2019

Yesterday Me and 7 other school pupils made our way to Christchurch for the annual cantamaths competition. this year grey main competitors were... Year 8 team: Myself, Dylan, Franklin And Ayesha. Year 7 team: Addison, Honor, Jacob and Arielle. First thing in the morning we left school at around about 9:30. we started making our way out to kumara and on our way to arthurs pass. we stopped at the train station for a toilet stop and to get some fresh air. Then we hopped back in the van and started heading to christchurch. At Christchurch when we got there we went to riccarton mall. we were allowed to spend our own money. I bought some lollies and sherbert. and then we had to make our way to horncastle arena (this is where the competition was) there were also displays on some amazing experiments that some children presented. the year 7 team were first up and done really well they got a total score of 90 points ( 18 Questions ) this is the best a year 7 team has ever done from grey main. our team didn't do as well, we got 50 points ( not as good ) It was a really fun experience.
Then when we finished we got dinner at McDonalds shouted for us. Then we made our way back to the west coast, it was 10pm before we got home.

Minecraft

A few weeks ago Myself, Will and Eli started a Minecraft realm we worked on it for a couple of hours and got tons of iron and a few diamonds. we made ourselves a starter base in the hills to get started. we made ourselves an enchanting table and iron armour / tools, then we enchanted them with some of the lapis we found. now we are branching off and making our own bases. I have got my inspiration from iskills storage system in hermitcraft season 6. it used grey concrete mixed with sandstone and bright green glass. the colour pallet looks super effective. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Paper Planes

yesterday we had to make paper planes. well kind of, we had to follow the instructions to make a plane as a fun piece of work. we made a normal plane, a dragon and a butterfly, buuuuut we had to wait to make the butterfly because we had our very own Joseph Froom come in and teach us step by step. they turned out really cool. we also had a race with our planes, well not a race but who could get the furthest. I was in fist with two people to go, I was quietly confident. but then simeon beat me. I was ok because i still go to move on. but then the most unexpected plane from Arli... Won

Basic Facts

Today I beat my basic facts time. every morning a soon as school starts we have to complete a 100 question mixed sheet of basic facts we have to get %100 to even bother showing our teacher the time. my best time used to be 1:32 but today I beat it getting 1:26. we have a basic facts board with the peoples fastest time but only the top 5 are on there. it used to be. Regan 0:59, kyra 1:08, Me 1:32 Mia and Iris both on 1:36, but then Oliver came in with a time of 1:24, Hannah with 1:25 and Mia kicked me off with a time of 1:31, but today I made it back on with my best time of 1:26!

Do you have a phone? I'm pretty sure about %90 of you said yes and if you did
then you know that phones are pretty expensive and it takes you awhile to
choose the right brand and the right type. And i'm sure most of you would go
for apple right? And you thinkyour getting your money out of it right? Well NO
apple make you pay much much much more than what the phone actually costs,
when Samsung you are paying for the Phone NOT the brand. 

Apple Phones are WAY too expensive but how much do they actually cost, An Iphone
Xs MAX costs about $370 to make but at noel leemings technology shops they
are worth $2599 that means they are charging you $2229 for the right to say you
own an Iphone. But Samsung S10 costs $530 to make and at noel leeming
technology shops are $1000 cheaper coming in at $1499.

Now i'm sure most of you probably have stopped reading this and think im an
idiot, but i'm sure a lot of you are saying that apples are better quality, but
that is a big bunch of LIES, LIES LIES LIES. an IPhone X battery lasts about
10.5 hours give or take, but the Samsung S10 Trumps it with nearly 15 hours.
But its not only the battery life it also the camera apple IPhone X only has a
12 megapixel camera. Buy samsung s10 and have a whopping 16MP ultra-wide,
12MP wide angle, 12MP telephoto And 10MP front camera.

Ok if your still reading this then you must be with me on samsung is better than
apple, but another thing why samsung is better than apple because it has more
products. Samsung don't only sell phones, tablets, laptops and desktops like
apple, samsung also sell televisions, fridges, washers / dryers, vacumes,
dishwashers, cooking appliances, they sell computer monitors, printers and
even speakers, and that's on top of what apple sells they sell everything apple
does at a better price and at better quality. 

Do you want to be paying a lot more money than you should for devices?
I'm guessing most of you said no. so don't choose Apple for your brand
because it charges you so much more than it should. They aren’t better
quality the camera isn’t as good the battery doesn’t last as long AND apple
doesn't sell as many devices / computers as samsung, so if you're looking for
a phone, television, fridge, washer / dryer, vacuum, dishwasher, cooking
appliances, computer monitors, printers and speakers choose Samsung!

Reflection, Term 1 & Term 2
This year has been very exciting and thrilling, already we have had school sport teams, children practising for our school production and school camps. The highlight of this year so far is probably school camp. this year we went to Hanmer Springs we stayed at the Hanmer forestry camp. most of the activities we done were taken by activity Hanmer. 

The thing im most proud of this year is getting better and faster at basic facts. Every morning our class do a sheet of 100 mixed basic facts questions, to get on the board you need to have 100 score and a certain time. I can do 100 add sub mult div questions in 1:32. My goal for next term is to get into the westamaths team and maybe even the cantamaths team. Last year I got into both of the teams. But this year the questions are harder so it might be a challenge to get in this year.

This week we have been working on area and volume. we had to figure out some challenging  questions, here are mine, and have a go at some of the questions below I will include a tutorial as well

1. Find the base and the height (10 Height, 6 Base)
2. Half the base (6 Divided By 2 = 3)
3. times halved base by the height (3 x 10 = 30)
4. that's the answer 30cm2

Hanmer Camp 2019

Hanmer Springs Camp 2019

This week from Monday to Wednesday two of our classes were on camp, this year we went to Hanmer Springs. We stayed at the Hanmer forest camp from the 20th to the 22nd of May. We done most of our activities with Activity Hanmer, we done Tree Climbing, Orienteering and Mountain Biking with them. The other activities we done without them were going to the Hanmer Cemetery and had to read the graves to find information, some of the questions were: (Q) Who was the youngest buried. (A) 4 days old. (Q) Who was the oldest buried. (A) 94 years old.

Day 1

For our first activity it was Mountain Biking we started by finding a Bike and a Helmet that fitted our size and shape, then we went for a test drive around the paddick, I don't think it was a race but if it was I don't want to brag but I won by miles, I mean I do ride bikes quite a lot. After this we went to the forest, we started on the Easyrider track then follow some of the perseverance track. Next we started making our way back to camp, we done this activity on the first day just after we got there. Then we had a bit of a chill at the camp. Next we went to the hot pools, just as we got there we got told where we were and weren't allowed to go. First night I mostly played in the lazy river and the one hot pool we were allowed in. then we had dinner, for the first night we had spaghetti bolognese, then for dessert we had some ice cream and fruit salad. After that we had camp quiz. Next we finally had to go to bed for the big day ahead.

Day 2

In the morning we had to go to the kitchen and choose what we wanted for breakfast. I had toast with leftover mince on it. Then we had to make our lunch, we got to make a bread roll a muesli bar and two pieces of home baking. First off on our second day we started off with orienteering first we had a brief to tell us where we can and can't go again. After this we were told how to orienteer a map after this we set off to find the small pieces of pipe hanging from the trees, each one had a code on it, in our group were Dad, Will, Emil, Morgan I, most of the codes only gave you 10 points, but some of the ones that were further away were worth 20, 30 and 50 points. We came close second with only 20 points behind. The second activity on day two was cemetery study. We had to walk for a wee bit to get there, then we were given a bit of paper with some questions on it like then ones at the top, after this we went back to camp for a bit before getting in our cars then going to the forest where there is a walk with carved statues all over the place. After this we had our lunch that we made in the morning. We next went to some of the trees at the camp and got a harness then we connected it to the tree so we could start climbing. This was my favourite activity but my most feared one, well because im afraid of heights. On my first turn I didn’t make it past the first branch, second turn I made it to the top on the easy side. On my third turn I nearly made it to the top on the hard side. After this we hung out at the camp before going to the hot pools for the second night. This time my dad bought a pass to go onto the superbowl with me, we went extremely fast with the weight of it, but if I wasn’t on the super bowl I was in the lazy river or the 40 degrees hot pool. After this we went back to camp to have dinner this night we had deviled sausages for dessert we had chocolate pudding with ice cream. Next we had camp concert, Emil and I done magic tricks with the cards I brought to camp. Then we went to bed, and slept for the night.

Day 3

On day three we had one last activity, hiking up Conical Hill. It took us about 30 minutes to get up then about 15 minutes to get down. Next we went to the lolly pot ( A lollie shop in Hanmer ) I bought some gobstoppers, mini gobstoppers, gum and werthers original ( THE BEST CANDY IN THE UNIVERSE ) next we went back to camp to have lunch with the other two classes we left on the 22nd and they came up on the 22nd after that we started to make our way back home, it's about 3-4 hours to get home. In my car was Dad, Lavinia, Allie, Liam and I, when we got back most of the parents were waiting at school to pick their children up and take them home. That night I slept really well and sleeped in a bit more than usual.

Thelma Eakin Coming into our class

Yesterday Thelma Eakin (the author of the book we just read) came into our class to tell us and answer our questions about her book. the book was called "the mines afire" and it was about the brunner mine disaster, it is a diary from one of the character tommy Carter who is a made up boy who lives with his Father and Mother, his Dad is a carpenter for the mine site. When they all hear explosions every single man ran into the mines to rescue their friends. But none of them lived.

My Hobbies

My favorite hobby that I do is Motorbiking. Me my Dad, My dad's friend, my friend and his Dad travel all over the south island going to events where you ride through paddicks up and down hill steeper than you have ever seen. At the moment I ride a KTM SX 85cc 2018 Two Stroke, My Dad rides a Beta 350cc 2019 4 Stroke. My Dad's friend rides a 2018 Beta 350cc 4 Stroke. (Scroll Down For  Pictures) We have a four bike trailer so my friend has to put his bike on the back of his ute. Some of My favorite rides are:

If I could change 3 things about the world what would they be and why?

1. The first thing i would change is the plastic in the ocean and on our land. did you know that there are over 5 Million animals that die each year because of our plastic that's about 15,000 per day 
and if we don't do anything about it all of marine life will die by the year 2075.

2. I would stop world hunger as my second thing. have you ever felt so hungry you could die? well that's what over 800 Million people are feeling ever day. and over 10 Million people die each year from suffering world hunger.

3. Last but not least I would cure cancer did you know that over 600,000 people each year die from cancer, that nearly 2,000 every day.
