Reflection.

Reflection, Term 1 & Term 2
This year has been very exciting and thrilling, already we have had school sport teams, children practising for our school production and school camps. The highlight of this year so far is probably school camp. this year we went to Hanmer Springs we stayed at the Hanmer forestry camp. most of the activities we done were taken by activity Hanmer. 

The thing im most proud of this year is getting better and faster at basic facts. Every morning our class do a sheet of 100 mixed basic facts questions, to get on the board you need to have 100 score and a certain time. I can do 100 add sub mult div questions in 1:32. My goal for next term is to get into the westamaths team and maybe even the cantamaths team. Last year I got into both of the teams. But this year the questions are harder so it might be a challenge to get in this year.

Peddlers Road Cover

The past few weeks we have been doing our own novel study. we had to read a book and complete some activities for them, the book I chose was "The Peddlers Road" and here is my new cover.

Reading Timetables

The past couple of weeks we have been learning how to read timetables, no not times table like this ( 6x6 ) like this

My Myth

Skylord And Earth Goddess

In a land long long ago the sky or skylord used to be
closer to the ground with its wife the earth goddess
but on an unsuspected day they were seperated by
the air or air god. When they were seperated
the skylord and earth goddess wanted each other back
but skylord was weak,however earth goddess is strong.
The mountains are created but the earth goddess trying
to reach out to her love and you know whenever
it is a fine day it is when he is happy if it rains it is
because the skylord is crying over his lost love never
to see her again.

Maths

This week we have been working on area and volume. we had to figure out some challenging  questions, here are mine, and have a go at some of the questions below I will include a tutorial as well

Tutorial.
1. Find the base and the height (10 Height, 6 Base)
2. Half the base (6 Divided By 2 = 3)
3. times halved base by the height (3 x 10 = 30)
4. that's the answer 30cm2

Try figure this one out. let me know your answer in the comments.

Height = 10cm Base = 12cm
Height = 20cm Base = 30cm
Height = 48m Base = 60m
